Road Rage Incident in Camrose

A person reported an incident of road rage as they were entering Camrose. The operator of the subject vehicle stopped their vehicle at the red light on 73 Street, got out of their vehicle and retrieved a sledgehammer from the back of their vehicle allegedly brandishing it at the person reporting. Police located and stopped the subject vehicle. The operator of the subject vehicle was arrested for assault with a weapon. This matter is still under investigation.

A person reported being the victim of a crypto currency fraud. The subject of the fraud (reporting person) indicated they invested an initial $80,000 and when they attempted to withdraw from the investment they were told they would have to pay an additional $40,000 to access any funds.  When the reporting person refused the alleged fraudsters became verbally aggressive.

This initiative focuses on dismantling encampments safely while offering support and services, rather than just enforcement. Progress includes successful dismantling of five encampments and reduced police service calls by 88%.
