Flagstaff Community Adult Learning looks back on 50 years of learning in the Flagstaff community

Flagstaff Community Adult Learning celebrated its 50th anniversary on June 6, attended by around 80 guests including former and current volunteers. The event featured stories, videos showcasing FCAL's impact, and testimonials highlighting its evolution and community connections. Key speakers included former coordinator Val Rathjen and board members, emphasizing gratitude for years of dedicated service.

Appreciation night held in Daysland for Dr. Andries and Martha Niemann an evening of fond reminiscing

The Daysland Hospital Foundation and Town of Daysland hosted an appreciation night for Dr. Andries and Martha Niemann, recognizing their more than 20 years of service. Attendees shared heartfelt stories about their dedication, compassion, and community involvement. Both emphasized their love for the community and gratitude for the support received.

Sydney Hampshire receives Humanitarian Award

Sydney Hampshire, daughter of Murray and Marta Hampshire, received the humanitarian award from the Canadian Federation of Medical Students and CPAMD. A first-year medical student and author, she has overcome personal challenges, including a stroke. Her experiences inspire her commitment to rural medicine and community integration in Flagstaff.
