Camrose Police investigate crypto fraud

A person reported being the victim of a crypto currency fraud. The subject of the fraud (reporting person) indicated they invested an initial $80,000 and when they attempted to withdraw from the investment they were told they would have to pay an additional $40,000 to access any funds.  When the reporting person refused the alleged fraudsters became verbally aggressive.

Charter School Board Chair Blake Moser emphasizes the importance of community support, including enrollment commitments and financial contributions, to ensure the school's success. A community fundraising event is planned for spring.

Hardisty Hospital Emergency Department changes

Alberta Health Services announced changes to the Hardisty Emergency Department's hours due to a shortage of physician coverage. The ED will now operate from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and remain closed over weekends and nights. Nursing staff are available 24/7 for patient assessments and referrals.
