Camrose Police deal with multiple damaged windows caused by pellet guns

Camrose Police Report for the period from April 16 – 21, 2026

Notable Incidents

Theft from vehicle

A person reported someone had broken into a truck in the area of 52 Street and 5400 Block and items, including a backpack containing lifting equipment and a wallet were stolen. This matter is still under investigation.

Impaired driving

Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. The 23-year-old female operator was determined to be impaired and issued an Immediate Roadside Sanction and violations tickets. Police noted open liquor in the vehicle. The 14-year-old female passenger initially lied about her age and subsequently was arrested for obstruction and housed in Camrose Police Service cells, later released to her mother.

Warrants

Police observed a female known to police, sleeping in her vehicle behind a business. Police spoke with the 26-year-old female and a check revealed she was wanted for outstanding warrants. A check on the 33-year-old male passenger also revealed he had warrants. Both were transported to Camrose Police Service station to deal with the outstanding matters.

Erratic driving

A person reported their vehicle damaged (minor not reportable) by a male subject driving erratically in a local restaurant parking lot. The person reporting provided police with a licence plate number of the subject vehicle. Police identified and spoke with the 44-year-old registered owner.

Dogs at large

A person reported three dogs at large from the backyard, through a hole in the fence, of a residence located in the area of 57 Street and 4900 Block. Police attended and located the dogs that were, at that point, inside the subject residence. Police noted a hole in the property fence. Camrose Community Peace Officer continued with follow-up investigation.

Check stop

Police conducted a traffic check stop and issued three warnings.

Theft

A representative of a local retail store reported a male subject committing theft. Police attended and located the 49-year-old male and issued a two-year trespass notice.

Stolen licence plate

A person reported the licence plate on their truck was stolen while the truck was parked near a downtown residence.

Vehicle hit

A person reported their vehicle was hit while parked in a local retail business parking lot. The matter is still under investigation.

Outstanding warrants

Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for equipment violations and arrested the 40-year-old male operator of the vehicle on an outstanding warrant for assault and confinement. The male was housed in Camrose Police Service cells waiting judicial release.

Dog at large

A person reported being charged at by a dog in the area of 65 Street and 4300 Block. Police attended and located the subject dog which ran back into a residential yard, after which the gate was secured. Police spoke with the dog owner who was given a warning.

Possible theft

A person reported a male subject possibly stealing a bicycle and car, in the area of 50 Street and 4700 Block. The person reporting provided a description of the subject. Police conducted patrols of the area but the subject was not located. The is matter is still under investigation.

Vehicle violation

Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a vehicle violation The 28-year-old operator of the vehicle was issued violation tickets for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s licence, no vehicle registration and insurance. The vehicle was towed.

Prohibited weapons

Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for equipment violations. The 46-year-old male operator of the vehicle was issued violation tickets for no insurance. The vehicle was towed. During the stop police seized a knife and imitation throwing star (weapons).

 Impaired driving

A person reported a vehicle parked in a greenspace near the dog park. Police attended and located the subject vehicle noting a male sleeping in the driver’s seat. The 63-year-old male failed a Standard Field Sobriety test and was issued a 24-hour suspension from operating a motor vehicle and several violation tickets. The vehicle was towed.

Damage to property

A representative of a local retail business reported the window of the building had been shot with 4 BBs, causing approximately $1,000 in damage. Police reviewed CCTV footage from a neighbouring business and obtained a vehicle description of a possible vehicle involved. This matter is still under investigation.

Speeding

Police conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle for speeding and operator not wearing a helmet. The 34-year-old male operator of the motorcycle was issued violation tickets. The motorcycle was parked in a secure location until proper documentation provided.

Damage to vehicle

A person reported windows of their residence had been damaged, in the area of 36 Avenue and 5200 Block, with what appeared to be pellets, causing approximately $3,000 in damage.
