What parents should know about ‘forever chemicals’
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), known as "forever chemicals," are persistent in the environment and linked to various health risks including liver, kidney, and reproductive issues. The Canadian government is proposing to classify most PFAS as toxic to reduce their use. Consumers can limit exposure by reading labels and avoiding products containing PFAS.
