The Flagstaff Regional Emergency Services Society (FRESS) announced Monday, March 30, that Kevin Lunty has been hired as the new Regional Deputy Fire Chief, serving under Regional Chief Derek Homme. He will officially move into the position on May 1.
The announcement says that Lunty brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and dedication to the fire service, with a distinguished career marked by operational excellence, strong team development, and a commitment to community safety.
In his new role as Regional Deputy Fire Chief, Lunty will support regional fire operations, oversee personnel and training initiatives, and assist in advancing strategic priorities to ensure the highest level of service delivery across the region.
Regional Chief Homme says, “We look forward to his continued leadership and positive impact in this important role.”
Lunty has also resigned from his role as Forestburg FRESS Station Chief, and an announcement will be made soon with his replacement.
