Over $300k stolen from Lloyd minor hockey

This past fall, on Sept. 27, Lloydminster RCMP received a report of money being appearing to be embezzled from the Lloydminster Minor Hockey Association.

Through the course of the investigation it was learned that over $300,000 had been taken from the association through fraud and theft over a period spanning five years.

As a result of this investigation, Aaron Troy Foster, a 42-year-old resident of Lloydminster, has been charged with the following offences:

• Fraud Over $5,000
• Theft Over $5,000
• Criminal Breach of Trust
• False Pretence

Foster was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was released on a Release Order with conditions.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 28, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster.
