Daysland citizens and groups raise thousands for Jasper Red Cross relief

Daysland Library is hiding rubber ducks this week at Daysland’s local parks for the youngsters to seek!

There are 140 ducks that are spread across all three parks in which kids can hand in for a treat!

Each park is designated to a particular age group. To find out more information check online or give them a call.

Also this week is the Local church’s Vacation Bible School, they had the church decorated to the nines with their bright colors and a scuba themed week! It was a busy week for the local youngsters.

A huge thank you was given to Daysland for coming together on Tuesday, Aug. 6, and raising a whopping $1,087 at the Jasper Wildfire Fundraiser that took place during the town barbeque in the park!

They savoured a delicious barbeque meal complete with pie and coffee surrounded by amazing company.

A special shout out to the Daysland Business Association, United Church Women, and the Daysland/Rosalind United Church for your tremendous support. All proceeds are being donated to the Red Cross, with the Provincial and Federal Government matching, amplifying our total impact to three times as much, totaling $3,261! Many thanks were given for the generosity and community spirit.
