Viking RCMP arrest male on warrant and new charges

Viking RCMP executed an Arrested Warrant during the day of Sept. 17, 2025, on a rural property near the Town of Viking. As a result, RCMP arrested one male on 24 multiple jurisdictional warrants and 3 new charges related to person offences in Viking and surrounding areas:

Bruce Lea Blyan a 46-year-old male, has been charged with:
• Unlawfully in dwelling house;
• Fail to comply with condition of release order (x2).

Blyan was also arrested on 14 outstanding warrants for relatable offences that occurred in the Eastern Alberta area and 10 warrants in the Western part of Saskatchewan.

As a result of a Judicial Interim Release hearing, Blyan was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Alberta Court of Justice in Vegreville on Sept. 22, 2025. Following this appearance Blyan will be appearing in Lloydminster for his Saskatchewan charges.
