Attracting new business to Hardisty with a special offer

Gary and Shelly Bromby are celebrating Bromby Welding’s 25th anniversary with a special incentive gift for a new Hardisty business.

A group of Hardisty and area residents who are strong supporters of their region have come together to form the Hardisty and District Development Group.

The group comes together monthly to meet and talk about how they can attract new residents and new businesses to the area, as well as improve the region to attract more tourism visitors and more.

Their official mission is: “To support, develop, and foster growth within Hardisty and District community, in a responsible manner.”

When Gary and Shelly Bromby, of Bromby Welding, reached their 25th year in business, they knew they wanted to do something very special.

They recently sat down with Justine Ness from the Hardisty and District Development Group to talk about ideas.

The Brombys were both raised in Hardisty and they raised three children, Graham, Trevor (who works with them at Bromby Welding), and Melanie.

Gary says when he started out on his own 25 years ago, he ran one truck, his, and was confident that he’d have enough clients to keep himself busy.

Then he got a “three-week job” with Enbridge, and hasn’t looked back.
