Rescheduled COPA flights still attract high numbers
The Iron Creek Flying Club rescheduled their COPA (Canadian Owners and Pilots Association) for Kids day due to bad weather earlier in the spring, and held it on Saturday, June 1, at the Flagstaff Regional Airport instead.
Even though the number of registered passengers dropped, there were still 48 youth who came by to be taken up in the air by local pilots.
The event was designed to introduce the idea of flying to a broader audience and attract youth to the idea of obtaining their pilot licences.
