After a 24-hour delay due to high winds, the Lougheed Alberta Modellers, also known as the LA Modellers, held their Fun Fly event on Sunday, July 15.
Although the event was scarcely attended due to short notice in rescheduling, those in attendance enjoyed the beautiful weather, custom-made for flying model airplanes.
The club came into existence 25 years ago and has seen membership numbers rise and fall over the years, but is currently 12 members strong.
It is a member of the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (MAAC) who make the rules and guidelines governing the sport.
