Fatal vehicle collision near Strome

The Killam/Forestburg RCMP Detachment released a news report today of a fatal single vehicle collision which occurred Tuesday, Sept. 10 near Strome.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., RCMP and Emergency Medical Services responded to a fatal single motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle which occurred on Highway 13 near the village of Strome.

The sole occupant of the motorcycle died as a result of the collision.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver had been travelling eastbound on the highway when the motorcycle left the roadway near a curve in the road.

Speed and alcohol do not appear to have been factors in this collision.

The name of the driver has not been released.
