Heisler Elks donate to local family *Web Exclusive*
On April 28 the Heisler Elks Lodge #305 held their annual Porkchop and Rib BBQ.
Every year, the Elks auction off 15 bags of porkchops with 10 – 12 porkchops per package.
This year the lodge decided to donate the funds raised by the auction to Dennis and Karen Wolbeck’s daughter Kendall, who has cerebral palsy.
Auctioneer Don Oberg along with Elks members as ringmen, and a generous crowd, managed to raise $14,275.
The Elks added an additonal $2,500 and a cheque for $16,775 was presented to the Wolbecks.
After the presentation, additional donations were received with the Wolbecks receiving a total of $17,375 from this event.
