After a resounding win at home Friday night in Killam, the Jr. B Wheat Kings travelled to Wainwright Sunday riding the momentum to beat the Bisons on their home turf, taking the first round in four games.

On Friday night in Killam, the Wheat Kings played to win, dominating the game with their strong offensive play style.

The Wheat Kings came out strong, skating fast and controlling the puck well, with Austin Wilson scoring the first goal on a power play at 13:55 with assists from Wyatt Fraser and Dylan Herder.

As the flustered Bisons attempted to set up plays, the Wheat Kings would steal the puck and pepper the Bisons’ goalies with shot after shot, forcing the play to stay in the Bisons’ end for a good portion of the game.
