Daysland stays on top of league with win against Stampeders

The Daysland Northstars and the Hardisty Stampeders played Saturday in Hardisty in a game that would determine who would rise to the top of the standings in the Battle River Hockey League.
Both teams were undefeated at the start of the game.
Daysland came out all guns blazing and dominated the first period; they out-shot the home team 18-7 and out-scored 5-0 with goals from Adam Andrew, Tyler Hurum, Chad Marchant (PP), Devan Herder and Colin Zimmer (PP).
In the second, the Stampeders came out stronger and the shots on goal were even at eight each.
Northstars Gregory Doll and Jordan Jacobsen scored putting the visitors up by 7.
