Hardisty hosts Sedgewick in controversial BRHL hockey game

The Sedgewick Sabres travelled to Hardisty Saturday night to play the Stampeders.

It was a fast-paced game that was riddled with penalties for both teams, with more than a few controversial officiating calls.

The most prominent, and most confusing was when the linesman ruled no-goal for the visiting Sabres late in the third period, and no one seemed clear as to why, although it was later determined to be because the linesman thought the net was off at the time, he said after the game.

Both benches were shaking their heads, and some players hollering over many of the calls.
