Killam’s female midget Heat team undefeated

The Killam Heat female midget hockey team played the Innisfail Midget Flyers on Sunday Nov. 6 in Sedgewick.

The undefeated Heat kept their unbeaten streak going with a two all tie against the Flyers.

The Flyers scored early in the first period. The second period was scoreless. Both teams were frequent visitors to the penalty box in the second and third periods.

Kelsey Hayes of the Heat scored at the eight-minute mark of the third period to tie the game at one apiece.

Less than two minutes later the Flyers scored the go-ahead goal. With only 33 seconds left in regulation time, Lindsey Roth of the Heat slipped one past the goal line to tie the game.

The Heat will play their next home game on Nov. 15 at the Sedgewick Rec Centre against the Camrose Midget team with a game start at 4 p.m.
