Hardisty faces Consort three times, wins all on weekend

Hardisty faced Consort 3 times on the weekend, and bagged 3 wins.

The Hardisty Stampeders played the Consort Comets three games this past weekend.

Friday and Saturday’s games were part of the regular schedule, while Sunday’s game was rescheduled from the previous week when the game was cancelled due to Consort not having their ice surface ready.

Friday’s game in Consort saw the Stampeders on the winning side of a 14-2 game.

Shayne Andres was named first star of the game with five goals and a total of nine points for the night.

Saturday’s game in Hardisty was the Stampeders’ Home Opener, with a good sized crowd in attendance.  The first period was kept close and the Comets were the first on the scorebaord, but in the end Saturday’s game recorded a 13-4 victory for the Stampeders.

Sunday’s game in Consort was the third victory in a row Hardisty enjoyed in the series, with a final score of 8-4.

Hardisty’s next home game is Friday, Nov. 11 when they will host the Viking Gas Kings.
