The Friends of the Battle River Railway were very pleased to welcome 180 people to the Galahad Agriplex on Saturday, April 9 for an excellent evening.
The “Friends” organized this night as a fundraiser with the theme, “A little heat goes a long way!”
Blaise Young, owner of both the Killam and Forestburg Bottle Depots, had some very important visitors on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the Killam Bottle Depot to help him celebrate the $10,000 mark for donations to the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
The Killam ECS class was visiting, for a tour of the recycling centre, when one of the students, Hayden Hogman, got the chance to make the final donation. The class made a draw for the privilege before coming down to the depot.
Forestburg’s Town Council held a Community Engagement Evening at the Forestburg Community Hall on Monday, Mar. 12.
This was an evening to have the opportunity to review past performances, to be informed of future projects, and to provide input into community needs.
