Newest RCMP member a small town boy ‘through and through’

Cst-Trevor-Norton-2016Constable Travis Norton is the newest member of the Killam Detachment of the RCMP, and started work on Friday, Aug. 12.

Norton is an Alberta native, he comes from Rosemary, a small village located in the Brooks area.

Growing up, Norton says that the father of one his friends was an RCMP member, and so he participated in a number of ride-alongs.

“He actually encouraged me in this career,” he says, “I started this process very young, at age 19, and he showed confidence in my ability to succeed.”
