The All for Stars group hosted its 19th annual hockey tournament at the Forestburg arena on the weekend of Mar. 3 – 4.
There were raffles at the door plus two tables of silent auction items that had been donated by generous sponsors.

Killam Wheat Kings hosted the Vegreville Rangers for games three and four in Killam on the weekend. Killam took a 3-1 series lead over the Rangers, winning both games.
On Friday, Mar. 2, the Wheat Kings took the early lead at the midway point of the first period on a goal by Travis Thompson from Jason Yuha.

The Daysland North-stars advanced to the BRHL finals with two straight wins over the Hardisty Stampeders to win the best-of-seven series.

On Jan. 21, the Lougheed School Council held a fundraiser dinner, trying to raise money to cover the cost of the computers the school will need to participate in Battle River’s Virtual Learning pilot project.
Over 230 people came out in support of the school and enjoyed an authentic Mexican dinner prepared and served by Helena Krahn and family.
