Wheat Kings one win away from playing in NEAJBHL finals

    Killam Wheat Kings hosted the Vegreville Rangers for games three and four in Killam on the weekend. Killam took a 3-1 series lead over the Rangers, winning both games.

    On Friday, Mar. 2, the Wheat Kings took the early lead at the midway point of the first period on a goal by Travis Thompson from Jason Yuha.

Lougheed School Council holds fundraiser for Virtual Learning Project

    On Jan. 21, the Lougheed School Council held a fundraiser dinner, trying to raise money to cover the cost of the computers the school will need to participate in Battle River’s Virtual Learning pilot project.

An Ipad was auctioned off in support of Evan Wallace, a local girl with a rare form of leukemia.

    Over 230 people came out in support of the school and enjoyed an authentic Mexican dinner prepared and served by Helena Krahn and family.
