The Killam Wheat Kings lost both games this weekend to the Cold Lake Ice, who are once again the NEAJBHL champions.
On Friday, Mar. 23 Killam hosted the Ice in game three in the best-of-seven series.
The Ice won 10-3 in a game where 24 infractions were handed out for a total of 143 penalty minutes.
The Northstars were looking to clinch the series and the Blades were trying to stay alive being down 3-1 in the series.
The game had everything the fans want to see; pretty goals, amazing saves, body checks, and consistent officiating.

Forestburg’s Town Council held a Community Engagement Evening at the Forestburg Community Hall on Monday, Mar. 12.
This was an evening to have the opportunity to review past performances, to be informed of future projects, and to provide input into community needs.
The Daysland North-stars won both games on the weekend against the Provost Blades to take a 3-1 series lead in the final round of the BRHL playoffs.
Game three took place in Provost on Friday, Mar. 16.
