On May 3, 1949, an application was made by the Sedgewick Co-op Association for some lots for a Co-op store, and on July 5, 2012, that store was completely demolished.

On April 28 the Heisler Elks Lodge #305 held their annual Porkchop and Rib BBQ. Every year, the Elks auction off 15 bags of porkchops with 10 – 12 porkchops per package.

Coronation 4-H hosted their district female show and their steer show at the Alliance Arena on June 5 – 6. Coronation’s rink collapsed last January and they had to scramble for a place to show their cattle because it was their turn to host the show.
