BRHL Finals tied at once apiece

 

   The first place Provost Blades and the second place Daysland Northstars faced off this weekend in the BRHL finals.

    The Blades gave up home ice in game one due to scheduling conflicts so game one of the BRHL finals took place Saturday, Mar. 10 in Daysland.

  With today’s world-wide release of Bioware’s Mass Effect 3, Sedgewick born and raised Mark Meer will reprise his role as Commander Shepard for millions of gamers worldwide.

    Sales are expected to match or exceed those of Mass Effect 2, which sold over two million copies the first week it was out.

Fifth annual Bridal Fair in Lougheed

   Elegant Events of Lougheed held their fifth annual Bridal Fair at the Community Hall on Saturday, Mar. 3, to a packed house.

    The fair featured many area vendors, including photographers, cake decorators, caterers, and more.

Battle River Watershed Alliance identifies priorities at Forestburg meeting

   The Battle River Watershed Alliance (BRWA) held a meeting at the Forestburg Community Hall on Wednesday, Feb. 29.

    This was a workshop designed to hear back on what Flagstaff residents told the committee about the land and water during BRWA’s November 2011 community workshops, plus a chance to tell the committee what the most pressing issues in your region are.
