There are three homeowners in the Hughenden/Amisk area that owe their thanks to the firefighters from five departments for saving their homes from a brush fire that threatened dwellings Wednes-day, and burned surrounding outbuildings. Brian Cooper, Hughenden Fire Chief, assumed incident command of the grass fire, burning east of Amisk.
