This year Big Valley Jamboree, or BVJ, will be celebrating its 25 anniversary. Organizers say that hundreds of thousands of loyal fans have supported the event through the years, and they acknowledge that a great many of those fans come from rural Alberta.
Between Oct. 14 and 23, RCMP were called to 14 false alarms within their detachment areas, and seven motor vehicle collisions were reported to RCMP.
On Oct. 20, a male called RCMP to report that the coin box at the Daysland Car Wash was broken into.
It looks as though a grinder was used to cut open the box and all coins were stolen. RCMP have no suspects at this time.
