Flagstaff County Council has agreed to accept an offer from Phoenix Gas to take over the Galahad gas distribution system, passing the resolution during their regular meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 10. Council first discussed the matter back in September, when permission was given to start talks with Phoenix Gas to potentially purchase the 42-year-old system….

Killam RCMP were called to a possible domestic dispute near Daysland on Feb. 20.
On Jan. 16 RCMP were notified of a Break and Enter to a garage in Galahad had occurred. The complainant said that it had occurred about a week ago and that someone broke into his grandmother’s garage. The door to the garage was kicked in and several tool boxes were opened and contents strewn around…
Strome residents sent a clear message to the Minister of Municipal Affairs on Tuesday, Sept. 29, when 94 per cent, or 89 out of 95 voters, chose Option 2, dissolution of the village of Strome to become a hamlet of Flagstaff County.
The public vote on the future viability of Galahad was held on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
