The Daysland Northstars played three games last week and started a new winning streak.
With only two previous wins on the season, the Northstars crawled out of the basement in the BRHL to secure third place overall.
The Daysland North-stars earned a spot in the Alberta senior men’s “AA-A” provincial tournament in Vermilion, hosted by the Dewberry Mustangs Mar. 30 – Apr. 1.
The Town of Daysland held a by-election Monday to replace three of four town council positions that were recently made vacant due to resignation.
Gail Watt (127 votes), Patricia Spencer (123 votes), and Ed Kusalik (110 votes) were elected as the town’s newest councillors for the remainder of the term.
Daysland’s Palace Theatre was filled to capacity on Wednesday evening when the latest concert series started off with “Letter from Wingfield Farm.”
The one-man play was performed by Rod Beattie, and is the flagship show that started an entire series of Wingfield stories.
