On Canada Day, the Village of Alliance hosted its milestone 100th annual July 1st Sports Day, with reportedly over 600 paying attendees through the gate.

As another prairie sentinel came down in Alliance, many watched in sadness. The elevator was torn down last week between Tuesday and Thursday, with a minimum of fuss, just a lot of debris to clean up.
On Monday, September 21, the Village of Alliance held a by-election for the empty position of councillor within the village.
Though two nominations were received for the open councillor position in Alliance, only one candidate turned up for the public forum on Friday, Sept. 11.
On Saturday, September 12, 42 of 44 students participated in the 2015 Central High Sedgewick Public School Graduation ceremony, which took place at the Sedgewick Rec Centre. This year’s theme was Give It All You Have, and the grads certainly lived up to it with a terrific evening.
