National Paramedic Services Week kicked off Sunday, and people across the province are encouraged to take a moment to thank those who will be there when they’re needed most.
The week’s national theme this year is We Care. For Everyone.
“Paramedics play an integral role in serving the public. This week is about taking time to celebrate these highly skilled professionals and better understand the importance of EMS within our health-care system and our communities,” said Alberta Health Services in a statement.
AHS expressed gratitude to all paramedics and EMS workers for the vital support they provide to all Albertans, but also to each other. AHS says EMS is an essential component to Alberta’s health-care system, and the work paramedics do for Albertans is valued.
