On April 23, 2025, the Camrose Police Service conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle for violations including no insurance, misuse of plates, and no registration.
During the stop, officers arrested the 35-year-old male driver and discovered five fully functioning 3D-printed handguns in his possession.
Following the arrest, police executed a search at the accused’s residence in Mundare, Alberta. The search led to the seizure of a functioning 3D printer and several parts of a 3D-printed rifle that were in the process of being assembled.
The male driver has been charged with multiple counts under the Traffic Safety Act. Additional charges related to the possession and production of 3D-printed firearms are pending.
