Remembrance Day observances throughout Flagstaff Region

Alliance- There will be services by the Alliance Legion Branch, starting at 10:45 and held at the Alliance community hall. In addition, Alliance will be participating in the Bells of Peace ceremony at sundown.

Lougheed – On Nov. 11, starting at 10:30 a.m. there are services as well as a potluck in the Lougheed community hall, followed by music in the legion hut with a children choir. The Bells of Peace will be rung in the United Church at sundown.

Daysland & Bawlf- Services will be held Sunday, Nov. 11 at the Daysland Community Hall starting at 10:30 a.m. hosted by Daysland and Bawlf Legion Branches. There will be free lunch and entertainment. Daysland will also be participating in the Bells of Peace ceremony at sundown.

Killam- On Sunday, Nov. 11, there will be a ceremony at the Killam Legion Cenotaph at 10:55 a.m. followed by a service held at The Living Room theatre on Main Street. Killam is participating in the Bells of Peace at sundown.

Hardisty- There is a ceremony at the Elks Hall starting at 10:30 a.m. which will proceed to the cenotaph. There will be a wreath laying ceremony at the Legion Hut at 4 p.m., followed by the Bells of Peace will ring in Hardisty.

Sedgewick- The Sedgewick Legion Branch will hold a service starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Sedgewick Community Hall. Sedgewick Legion will also be participating in the Bells of Peace at sundown.

Strome- The Strome Seniors have planned a Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph in front of the Museum, followed by lunch.
