Daysland Northstars getting ready for upcoming BRHL season

The teams in the Battle River Hockey League (BRHL) are gearing up for the upcoming season with some pre-season action this past weekend.
The Daysland North-stars played the Two Hills Longhorns in the Viking Carena to get some pre-season practice in.
The Northstars had a very short bench, but the 11 skaters proved that they are in game-ready condition against the full squad of the Longhorns.
The Northstars came up short, but the number one rule in pre-season is ignore the score. It’s all about the practice.
The Wainwright Rustlers, Big Valley Oil Kings, and the Tofield Satellites also played in pre-season action last week against teams from different senior men’s leagues.
The BRHL officially starts the 2013-14 season on Nov. 1.
Hardisty will host Tofield in their season opener on Nov. 1, then travel to Daysland on Saturday, Nov. 2 for the Northstars’ home opener. All games are 8:30 p.m. puck drop.
