Nearly a year ago in October, Dr. Bryan Nordstrom made the decision to retire and sell his Viking and Sedgewick Dental practice. Stepping in to the area was Dr. Ardakani, with his associate, Dr. Daniel.

Ardakani says he knew Dr. Nordstrom, and adds that the opportunity came just at a time when he was ready to start his own practice.

Flagstaff municipalities accept challenge for ‘Welcome’ funding

Back in June of 2016, Flagstaff County Council heard a request from Flagstaff Community Adult Learning (FCAL), given by Lois Polege and Nanette Jones, for funding to continue their Welcoming Community project.

Council voted to continue to fund the program, approving $50,000 of the $55,000 request, agreeing to match funding from any additional Flagstaff municipality up to another $5,000 total.

Dr. Tim Weighman has made a move from his shared office in Killam to a new building in Sedgewick, as of Sept. 6.

Office Manager Karon Weighman says, “The main reason we were looking to move the clinic is that we only have two rooms available to use in Dr. Hanton’s clinic.

(The Sedgewick Sentinel – April 4, 1929) – At ten minutes past four o’clock a.m. on Tuesday morning, April 2nd, the rattle of the fire bell at Killam was sounded by Charlie Moon, the cook of Pon Moon Get’s City Cafe at Killam. After the first alarm was sounded, it was only a matter of minutes until the chemical engines from the fire hall were on their way to the scene of the fire which had broken out with alarming suddenness in the front room of the City Cafe.
