Quilting bee offers warmth to Fort McMurray evacuees
On Friday, May 13, a quilting bee was held in Crafty Creations in Killam.
The event saw around 10 quilters come and go as they were able to make time to donate their services, and the finished quilts will be donated to evacuees from the Fort McMurray fire.

Strome Mother’s Day Draw big winner
The winner of the grand prize of the Strome Curling Club’s Mother’s Day Raffle was Willa Schwab, who accepted the keys to her new Polaris Ranger from Bob Hayes on Sunday, May 8 at the Strome Community Hall.
