Every day, people in our region visit our website to find more information about our local newspaper and ad rates. In addition, many come here to view and purchase the latest online version of our local newspaper. Additionally, every week we post interesting articles to our “Alberta News” section, sharing quality and interesting stories from around the province through the Local Journalism Initiative and RCMP news releases, among some others. As a result, TheCommunityPress.com generates thousands of page views every month.

We are excited to announce we will be selling online ads again to local businesses and groups in the top banner section of our website, with up to six concurrent ads rotating in that spot. Ads will load on every page on this site, both on desktop and phone/tablet. You won’t just be limited to an image, your ad will link to anywhere you want – your website, social media, an email address, or even an information page that we can host for you right here! The benefit of advertising here over sites like Google? Banner ads display as a website image, and therefore shouldn’t be blocked by most “Ad Blocker” plugins. It’s estimated as many as 30-40% of regular Google/Facebook/Youtube ads are blocked by these types of plugins on a daily basis.

The above is a 700 pixel x 300 pixel image. This is the size of each ad. You can provide it yourself or we can design it for you.

So, what does it cost?

1) Standard: For $125 per month (plus gst)

your ad will be one of up to six that will rotate on the top section of our website.

2) Bundled: For $200 per month (plus gst)

your ad will appear on our website, as well as our other 3 papers (The Tofield Mercury, The Lamont Leader, The Weekly Review) for the awesome bundle discount of $200 per month (regular $455 per month booked separately).

3) Already Advertising in the Paper? Extra $50 per month (plus gst)

If you’re already running an advertisement in our newspaper (quarter page size or above), you can get in on our website advertising too for just an additional $50 per month. Cover all your bases!
