On Jan. 21, the Lougheed School Council held a fundraiser dinner, trying to raise money to cover the cost of the computers the school will need to participate in Battle River’s Virtual Learning pilot project.

An Ipad was auctioned off in support of Evan Wallace, a local girl with a rare form of leukemia.

Over 230 people came out in support of the school and enjoyed an authentic Mexican dinner prepared and served by Helena Krahn and family.

Auctioneers Dale Jones and Darrin Holben got the crowd fired up to start the silent auction, which featured a wide variety of donations, including hours of manual labour; weekend getaways, small appliances, and much more.
