Library region to host youth comic strip contest as part of Library Card Sign-up Month
Parkland Regional Library is running a comic strip contest throughout the entire region for Library Card Sign-up Month this September.
The contest is for those aged 10 to 18.
Participants can submit their original comic strip from September 4 to 25 for a chance to win a great prize that will help foster further creative projects.
The grand prize is a Wacom Intuos Tablet. Also up for grabs is a set of Copic Markers.
A panel of judges from the community of Lacombe will choose the top five submissions and public voting will take place on Facebook the week of October 5 to 9, 2015.
Entries must follow a four panel layout and use a permanent art style (no pencils). Entries can be submitted to your public library or online.
To view the official rules of the contest and submit your entries online, log on to www.prl.ab.ca/comic_contest.
