The Friends of the Battle River Rail brought a train load of visitors to enjoy the day!

The gymkhana featured popular favourites like the egg races, where contestants had to travel the length of the arena balancing an egg on a spoon.

The Show ‘n Shine moved indoors to the arena this year, and featured a number of classic vehicles from many eras.

The games were popular with both youth and adults, as organizers pitted teams against one another in a number of different ‘events’.

Later in the afternoon, the Alliance Community Development Committee honoured CAO Laura Towers into the village Wall of Fame.

The bell tower from the Alliance School was unveiled on Main Street, with the original school sign displayed in front. Doug Wold, a former Alliance School Student, and Donna Smith, a former Alliance School teacher, along with Muriel Fankhanel, who was both a former teacher and the principal of the school for many years.
