Here’s to never growing up! Forestburg graduates celebrate youth

Class-of-2014-outside

Forestburg’s Community Hall was filled with family, friends, and honoured guests on Friday, May 9, to celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2014.

The class, with eight graduates, chose the theme of “Here’s to never growing up.”

The hall was beautifully decorated with lanterns lighting the path from the arch where the graduates entered to the stage, where each grad proudly took their place.

Bailey Dietrich and Shallon Welsh were the emcees for the Grand March and introduced each graduate as they took their place on stage, giving background, and relaying each students future plans.

The young men took the stage first, and before the five took their places on the steps they all gave a “Captain Morgan” pose, which garnered laughter and cheers from the audience.

The three girls were beautiful in their unique dresses.

Forestburg School Principal Brock Bartlett gave certificates to each student, who was then greeted by a parent when they exited the stage.

The exercises ended with a dance with parents and escorts.
