Tri-County Job and Career Fair shaping up to be a rewarding experience for students, job seekers, and employers
With unemployment figures declining, currently sitting at only 2.6 per cent in our region, employers in the East Central Alberta region have been invited to participate in a Tri-County Job and Career Fair, to be held May 7 in Killam.
The Battle River Training Hub (BRTH) has partnered with Flagstaff County, Beaver County, and the County of Paintearth to organize this event, planned to attract workers both now and for the future.
Executive Coordinator for the BRTH Kimberley Bonnett says, “Flagstaff, Paintearth, and Beaver counties, and other partners, recognize the importance of youth retention and labour attraction and recruitment for our areas.”
Invitations were sent out to all potential exhibitors in early March, and their participation in the fair will include a breakfast presentation from Kristen Cumming.
Cumming is an Alberta-based speaker, facilitator and trainer focused on career development, human resources, productivity and leadership, and will be speaking to exhibitors on “Getting fair return: Strategies to recruit at job and career fairs.”
