Heat Midget girls wrap up season in matchup with Irma
The Heat Midget girls team played their last game of the season on Saturday, Mar. 16 in Killam against the powerhouse favourites Irma Aces in the league finals.
Irma came out strong and quickly took a 3-0 lead.
The Heat scored one in the third on a nice tip in by Amie Gartner. The girls played hard, and for a no-body-contact league, there was plenty of contact as both teams played at the top of their game and leaving everything on the ice.
In the end, the local girls came up short losing 3-1, but should be proud of the year they had and the effort they gave.
