Heat girls head into playoffs

The Killam/Sedge-wick Heat Midget girls hockey team wrapped their regular season up on Friday, Feb. 8 in Killam with a league game against Lac La Biche.

The visitors had the Heat chasing the lead the entire game.

In dramatic fashion, the Heat came up with the 6-5 win in the last minutes of the game. The win secured a third place finish for the Heat in the 10 team league.

On Saturday, Feb. 9, the girls travelled to Irma to play in the Provincial playoffs. The Heat ladies were on the wrong side of 4-1 score and were eliminated from Provincial play

The Heat have plenty more hockey ahead with the league playoffs scheduled to start this weekend.
