BRHL playoffs in full swing
The first round of playoffs are well under way in the Battle River Hockey League.
The regular season-leading Daysland North-stars secured a spot in the quarter finals with a three game sweep ending with a 4-3 win in double overtime over Big Valley.
The Provost Blades advanced to the quarter finals with a 3-1 series win over the Irma Aces. The Northstars and Blades will now wait for their opponents to be determined in the other two series.
The Sedgewick Sabres are behind in their series with Tofield having the 2-1 game edge in the best-of-five series, with the 4-1 win in Tofield on Saturday, Feb. 9 in Tofield. Game four will take place in Sedgewick Friday, Feb. 15.
The Hardisty Stampeders won on Sunday, Feb. 10 in Macklin to stay alive for game four. The Mohawks are leading that series 2-1. These teams will play in Hardisty on Saturday, Feb. 16.
