Killam Minor Hockey Day loads of fun for all
Killam Minor Hockey held their Hockey Days this past weekend on Jan. 19 and 20 at the Killam Agriplex.
The Heat Midget girls started the action on Thursday, Jan. 17 with a provincial game against Stettler. The girls won that game to kick off the Minor Hockey Days on a high note.
On Saturday, the arena was packed all day with players, coaches, parents, and fans.
The Initiation A team started the action off for the day with the B team following with their game. Those little players were the most entertaining; they don’t care much for ceremony and as soon as the Jr. B players dropped the puck the action began.
In the B game versus Wainwright, the two Wheat Kings players who dropped the puck to start the game were racing to get off the ice as the referee was racing to get on, as the visitors had already scored.
The little players were dancing to the music during the line changes and it was heartwarming to see them try their very hardest!
