UPDATE: Hearing date set for Sawyer Robison; accused of shooting 2 RCMP officers and murdering his uncle
RCMP arrested and charged Sawyer Robison with Second Degree Murder Tuesday, Oct. 23, with the death of his uncle, Bradford Clarke.
Robison was remanded to appear in Court of Queen’s Bench in Wetaskiwin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30. where the case was put over until Dec. 3, also when his preliminary hearing is already scheduled for the original charges.
A publication ban has been put in place on case.
Earlier, on Sept. 13, Alberta Justice asked for a bail review in Robison’s case, and a Wetaskiwin judge reserved his decision, with Robison remaining free on bail until last Tuesday’s arrest.
The new charge is one more of a number of existing charges against Robison stemming from an incident Feb. 7 where two RCMP officers were shot multiple times and Bradford Clarke was shot and killed, when RCMP attended the rural residence Robison shared with Clarke. Robison’s charges include attempted murder, and multiple weapons charges, including possession of guns with removed serial numbers.
A bail hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 16 in the Court of Queens Bench in Wetaskiwin.
