Maskwacis RCMP charge two with forcible confinement involving a firearm, including minor
On Oct. 18, 2024 shortly after 9:45 p.m. Maskwacis RCMP responded to a complaint of forcible confinement involving a firearm. Numerous RCMP resources were dispatched to the area. The female victim, who called 911, was located hiding in a treeline outside of a residence on the Louis Bull Townsite. Following an investigation, which involved the execution of a search warrant, two male suspects were arrested.
Timothy Bull, a 47-year-old resident of the Louis Bull First Nation, was charged with:
- Forcible confinement
- Pointing a firearm
- Careless use of a firearm
- Uttering threats
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Multiple charges related to failing to comply with a release order
A 17-year-old male youth, also a resident of the Louis Bull First Nation, was charged:
- Forcible confinement
- Pointing a firearm
- Assault
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Failing to comply with a youth release order.
Timothy Bull was brought before a Justice of the Peace and, after a judicial interim hearing, Timothy Bull was remanded into custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 21, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Wetaskiwin. The male youth was also brought before a Justice of the Peace and, after a judicial interim hearing, the male youth was remanded into custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct.21, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Edmonton.
