Camrose Police Report: Project Crush leads to Drug Arrests

PROJECT CRUSH

The Camrose Police Service Major Crimes Unit has concluded an ongoing drug investigation this month, which resulted in 22 drug trafficking related charges, 11 possession for the purposes of trafficking charges, and 2 proceeds of crime charges. Members of the Camrose Police Service worked over the last 8 months focusing on the activities of drug suppliers who were distributing large amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl into the City of Camrose.

As a result of the investigation the following people have been charged:

Caroline BOWIE, 57, was charged with five counts of trafficking, one count of possession for the purposes of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and proceeds of crime. BOWIE has since pled guilty to her charges and received a conditional sentence order.

Stefan WEIMER, 36, was charged with two counts of trafficking.

Terrance BERGSETH, 28, was charged with three counts of trafficking and proceeds of crime.

Kendall DELANEY, 25, was charged with five counts of trafficking, one count of possession for the purposes of trafficking and two counts of breaching a court order.

Jessie WEINRICH, 19, was charged with three counts of trafficking.

Melanie MYO, 33, was charged with one count of trafficking.

Carmen BROWN, 45, was charged with three counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. BROWN has since pled guilty to her charges and received a conditional sentence order.

Kimberley MCLEAN, 37, was charged with two counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking and two counts of trafficking.

Steven IRVINE, 31, was charged with two counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking.

David OTTON, 58, was charged with two counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking, one count of possession of illicit cannabis, and proceeds of crime.
