Firearms seized at Louis Bull First Nation after incident causes heavy police presence, school lock down
On June 4, 2024, at 8:18 a.m., Maskwacis RCMP received a report of individuals with a firearm driving around Louis Bull First Nation.
While police responded to the high risk call, local schools were placed in a hold and secure status.
Extensive patrols were made and the vehicle was not located. On June 5, 2024, after continued investigation, RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Louis Bull First Nation. As a result of the search, RCMP located and seized:
- a rifle;
- ammunition; and
- a taser.
Although charges have yet to be laid, RCMP continue their investigation into this incident.
